The Early Years Funding team provides advice and support to help parents, childcare providers, and professionals understand and access government funding for childcare and early education.
As a service, we can provide advice on:
- Funded childcare entitlements for eligible children aged 9 months to 4 years.
- The 15 and 30 hours funded childcare offers and eligibility criteria.
- The process for applying for a funding code through the government’s childcare service.
- Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) and Disability Access Fund (DAF).
- How funding works for children attending more than one setting.
- Funding rules, deadlines, and attendance requirements.
- Support for providers with funding claims, eligibility checks, and funding guidance.
- Signposting to additional support, such as special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) services, Early Help and Best Start in Life Family Hubs.
Our aim is to ensure that families and providers understand their entitlements and can access early education funding in a timely and accurate manner.
If you need more information about funded childcare options for your child, get in touch by email or call 01925 443131 and ask to speak to the Early Years Funding Team.
